AFC Telford 2-0 Forest Green

AFC Telford moved six points clear of the Blue Square Bet Premier relegation zone with a win over a Forest Green side who played 72 minutes with 10 men.

Chris Sharp headed the Bucks ahead when he converted from Will Salmon's right-wing cross after only eight minutes.

Rovers then had Chris Todd sent off for foul and abusive language after an altercation with Marlon Jackson.

Sharp added a second with a shot from six yards and he, Jackson and Jonathan Brown all missed further chances.

Forest Green winger James Norwood received a second yellow card for his part in a last minute fracas after he had already been substituted.

VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Forest Green Rovers manager Dave Hockaday told BBC Gloucestershire:

"There were a few of the boys not quite at it mentally tonight.

"I'm disappointed we didn't get something in the second half as we deserved it but the first half we shot ourselves in the foot.

"It was a poor challenge (by Chris Todd) and it was a red card. He's let everybody down.

"You can't make those challenges in the modern game and as soon as he did it we thought 'red'."
