Worcester City have signed AFC Telford United winger Dwayne Samuels on a deal until the end of the season.
The move followed Samuels, 21, making an announcement about his own future on a social network site.
"The information I've got is he's said he's played his last game for Telford," Bucks boss Andy Sinton had told BBC Radio Shropshire.
"That's not my choice, he's an important member of my squad, they're his words not mine."
Sinton continued: "I'll say to anyone of my players, 'if you don't want to be here for whatever reason come and tell me and I'll do something about it very very quickly'.
"I think the fans deserve people who want to play for them. If they feel a little bit hard done by, it's a squad game, no-one's guaranteed to play."
Samuels previously played for Grimsby Town and West Bromwich Albion.
