Dundee 1-1 Raith Rovers

Raith Rovers claimed a point in their bid to avoid relegation from Division One with a draw away to second-top Dundee.

The hosts got off to a superb start when Carl Finnigan rose highest to head home Gary Irvine's cross after six minutes.

Despite the early setback, Raith took a foothold in the game as the first half drew to a close and Damian Casalinuovo smashed in an equaliser just before the interval.

Rovers came out with renewed belief after the break and Casalinuovo came close to a second when he fired over inside the box.

Substitute Mark Fotheringham looked to have put the home side back in front only for the assistant to raise his flag after John Baird was adjudged to be in an offside position.

And, despite Dundee's late pressure, John McGlynn's side held out for the draw.

However, second-bottom Rovers remain two points behind Ayr United, who were held at home by Morton.

Dundee move a point clear of Falkirk but are now remains 17 points adrift of runaway leaders Ross County.
