Stockport 4-0 Lincoln City
Stockport took a big step towards Blue Square Bet Premier survival with a thumping win over fellow strugglers Lincoln City.
The hosts raced into a two-goal lead, Danny Hattersley heading Sean Newton's cross home and Danny Rowe firing in.
Rowe added his second from inside the box before sub Cameron Darkwah made it 4-0 with a 20-yard strike at the death.
Lincoln rarely threatened, with Tom Miller heading wide from close range the closest they came.
VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Lincoln City manager David Holdsworth told BBC Lincolnshire:
"That was dreadful. They thoroughly deserved the victory and in certain areas we were dominated. There's no dressing it up, we were beaten by the team who were better on the day.
"I could come up with excuses but I'm not here to do that. The players have had some stern words and understandably so because they've let themselves down and they've let the fans down.
"We didn't do the basics right. We didn't deal with the first ball but it's not just about one area. I felt to a man we weren't good enough and we must address that quickly. You can't put in a performance like that and expect anything more than to get beaten."
