County substitute Jordan Rose pulled a goal back in the final minute when he smashed the ball home from the edge of the penalty area.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Mansfield Town assistant manager Micky Moore told BBC Radio Nottingham:
"All the results below us have gone for the team today. We wanted to get to 80 points, which is what we've got. We've got a foot in it now.
"We know if we get three or four more points, mathematically we're near enough there. It hasn't happened today mathematically but we're still in a strong position.
"We're not in control of the other teams. What we've always said is 'stay in control of your own destiny' and that's what we've done."
