Alan Knight has resigned as manager of Blue Square Bet South side Dorchester Town due to work commitments.
Knight, 50, took over as Dorchester boss in November 2011, replacing Ashley Vickers, with the side 10th in the table and 10 points off the play-offs.
The Hampshire-based former Portsmouth goalkeeper has found it difficult balancing the demands of his main job with that of running the football club.
Phil Simkin and Mark Jermyn will take charge once Knight leaves on Friday.
Dorchester travel to Eastleigh on Friday in what will be Knight's last match in charge.
"The club wishes to record its thanks to Alan for his efforts since his appointment and wish him well for the future," said a Dorchester statement.
