Peterhead claimed their third straight win as they beat Montrose in the Scottish Third Division at Balmoor.
Rory McAllister's close-range header got the home side off to a good start as he rose to meet David Donald's right-wing cross after nine minutes.
Montrose equalised after the break with John Crawford firing in from 18 yards after 55 minutes.
A curling right-footed effort from McAllister gave Peterhead the advantage back after good work from Russell Duncan, again down the profitable right flank.
The striker's 21st goal of the season proved crucial as the score remained 2-1.
The Blue Toon could still finish in the play-offs, but sit nine points off fourth-placed Elgin with four games to play.
