Brentford 0-0 Notts County

Notts County stayed ahead of Brentford in the League One play-offs as the two sides battled out a goalless draw.

Jeff Hughes hit the bar for sixth-placed Notts, although the hosts dominated for long spells.

Brentford striker Clayton Donaldson glanced a header inches wide and also went close following a free-flowing five-man move.

This was the eighth successive draw between the two sides and keeps Notts three points ahead of the Bees.

'We were anxious' - Rosler

Brentford boss Uwe Rosler tells BBC London 94.9:

"We had some decent chances, half chances and lots of free kicks.

"After half an hour, certainly our centre-halves dropped off, then they looked a bit dangerous.

"In the second half we got a bit anxious and didn't play the way we wanted to play, we were afraid.

"Overall when we can't win we have to make sure we don't lose. We played against a good team, but in my opinion we are still in the race for the play offs."

Notts County manager Keith Curle told BBC Radio Nottingham:

Notts stood up to challenge - Curle

"I think the pleasing thing was that we had to withstand a physical challenge.

"I'll be honest, I thought Brentford went a little bit longer and more direct than I was expecting, but the players had been told to expect anything.

"We stood up to the challenge, went toe-to-toe with them and I think, as and when we could play, we tried to play.

"If there was one team that looked more effective with footballing style in the final third, I think that was us."
