Hayes & Yeading could still finish on the same points as County, but need to overhaul a massive and improbable minus-22 goal difference in two games.
Jake Reid could have settled County nerves but hit the post, while Sam Foley also went close for the Welsh.
But Drewe Broughton should have done better for the Quakers when clean through on County keeper Karl Darlow.

Newport County assistant coach Jimmy Dack told BBC Radio Wales:
"You like to think we are safe, but you never know. It wasn't great today... the wind played a big part in it but first half and even second half we weren't good enough.
"We can't keep standing on the touchline telling them how to play their game, they've got to become men.
"I keep saying we're a young side but it's draining and if these boys want to progress in football then they've got to start taking information on board, we can't keep saying it week in week out."
