Hughes praises 'deserved' QPR win
- From the section Football
QPR boss Mark Hughes declares his side "deserved" winners against Tottenham and says referee Mark Clattenburg should have used "a bit of common sense" and not sent off match-winner Adel Taarabt.
Hughes praises his players' "courage" for nullifying Spurs' threat and credits the "intimidating" Loftus Road atmosphere for playing a part in the 2-1 win, which keeps Rangers out of the bottom three.
Moroccan play-maker Taarabt scored from a free-kick but was then dismissed for kicking the ball away as QPR boosted their survival hopes and dented Spurs' Champions League ambitions.
