Exeter City centre-back Scot Bennett has signed a new deal at St James Park.

The Grecians have not revealed how long 21-year-old Bennett has committed himself to the club for, but he is the latest player to be secured by manager Paul Tisdale for next season.

Bennett, who came up through the club's youth ranks, has made 13 appearances this season, scoring two goals.

He has been sidelined since March with a groin injury but returned in Saturday's 4-2 win over Walsall.

Bennett, who made his debut in March 2010 against Swindon Town, joins Alan Gow and six youth team players in committing themselves for the 2012-13 campaign.

City look set to be playing in League Two, unless they can win their remaining two matches and other results go their way.
