Huddersfield sealed fourth place in League One to set up a play-off clash with MK Dons after a comfortable victory over Yeovil.
Striker Lee Novak delicately glanced a header into the bottom corner of the net on the stroke of half-time for his third goal in as many games.
Yeovil responded, with home keeper Ian Bennett making a brilliant double save.
Danny Ward added a second goal with a solo run before placing a neat finish into the bottom right corner.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Huddersfield boss Simon Grayson told BBC Radio Leeds:
"I wasn't too concerned about where we finished, all I wanted was to win the game today and finish on a positive note.
"I'm delighted we won the game, I'm not too bothered about what happened at MK Dons, but obviously now we've got the second leg at home which some people say is an advantage, sometimes it isn't.
"I've always rated Danny Ward highly, and you can keep telling players they've got certain qualities.
"But they've got to believe that they can do these things and the best players in the world are those that achieve the targets they set every time they go onto a football pitch."
Yeovil Town manager Gary Johnson told BBC Somerset:
"You're always disappointed when you lose a game and you don't score a goal.
"But in the past six months since I've been here, the boys have given us everything.
"We have to work hard in the summer and that's what these games prove.
"We have six or seven out there who have proved themselves at this level but we also have four or five that can't."
