Rotherham United snap up Nicky Hunt & re-sign Ian Sharps

Ian Sharps

Rotherham have signed defenders Nicky Hunt and Ian Sharps on free transfers.

Hunt, 28, made 161 appearances for Bolton before spells at Birmingham City, Derby, Bristol City and Preston, where he played 17 games this season.

Sharps, 31, previously played for the Millers between 2006 and 2010 before joining Shrewsbury Town, where he played 48 games this season to help the side win League Two promotion.

Both players will join the Millers on 1 July when their current deals expire.

Sharps played 187 games for Rotherham in his first spell with the club, and made 97 appearances for Shrewsbury in the two seasons since then.

The signings follow the recent arrival of strikers Daniel Nardiello and Kayode Odejayi.
