Constable bid too small for U's - Thomas

Thomas also confirmed U's midfielder Adam Chapman has rejected an improved contract offer from the club.

"We have made two offers to Adam, both improving his existing agreement, however Adam feels he deserves a better financial package," he said.

"Adam has clearly stated in discussion that he remains fully committed to the club and wants the opportunity to earn the level of contract he feels he deserves."
