Torquay United manager Martin Ling says he is still waiting for centre-back Mark Ellis to decide if he will accept a new contract at Plainmoor.
Ellis, 23, has until 21 June to agree to a new deal, but has so far refused to sign for the club.
"The offer's been on the table since January and the offer's still the same as January," Ling told BBC Sport.
If Ellis decides to become a free agent Torquay could get a fee from his new club as he is under 24-years-old.
But Ling says he has not had any contact from other clubs about acquiring the services of the former Bolton Wanderers trainee.
Last season Ellis made 40 appearances for the Gulls and was an ever-present in the side from the middle of October.
"There's no decision from Mark and I've had no football club approach me about Mark.
"It's a ongoing saga, Mark hasn't come up with an answer, but he has to give us an answer one way or another," Ling said.
