James 'honoured' to be made MBE

Former England goalkeeper David James says he still has not told his family that he has been appointed an MBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

James says he was not sure who to tell, as he did not try to win the accolade, unlike most of his sporting achievements.

The 41-year-old has won 53 caps and played for the national side in Euro 2004 and the 2010 World Cup, but was released by Bristol City in May.
