....this season,if he goes, Arsenal fc are in big trouble..according to most comments on here Van Persie was playing all alone, own assists, defending, goalkeeping and he got to 3rd spot. Now this season Arsenal will be fielding 10 men since he will be gone....and that doesnt look too good...As for me I will always be a gunner, and will cheer on those 10 men....
A popular radio commercial on my favourite station goes.....remember me not because i dribbled, remember me not because i scored, remember me because i played, remember me because i wore the shirt.....This club will go forward regardless the personal ambitions of the players(which they are entitled to). Manuel Alumnia's benched seasons while wearing the shirt are honourable and quite admirable.
RVP had ONE good season and now Walcott is thinking of going who hasn't even had that. Arsenal have been very supportive but you don't want the usual turnaround of your best players going every year. The board should go Kronke is a typical Amercian businessman in it for money, charging a fortune and not delivering the trophies. Time for a change
Hilarious to read Davey Bones' comment. Every year players leave and all the pundits and know nothinsg predict the fall of Arsenal and rise of some other team (Liverpool, Spurs, etc etc) and every year we finish in the CL spots and those teams - having spent a fortune - don't.
Hilarious reading all the bitter Arsenal posts slagging off RVP, you should be grateful to him because without him last season Arsenal would have not been top six. You can't blame a player for wanting to win something, When he wins the Premiership with Man City, he will look down on Arsenal in mid table and realize he's made the right decision. When Arsenal play in the CL they have him to thank.
RVP is a modern player, 1 good season and he thinks he is world class! Years he couldn't play 3 games without breaking like glass all forgotten. How did he do at the Europeans? Adebayor was a wonder striker too remember? Nasri? Don't make me laugh these guys read their own headlines and believe them.Fabregas? Different story, world class, stayed for years, went to the club he supports - love him.
Van Persie has had one good injury free season, let him go! The board & owner are the ones to blame for this by their failure to keep players plus their inability to invest in the club and take us forward. Kronke OUT! and Hill Wood & Gazidis the lapdog, the board are passe & have nothing to offer. As long as they continue in their posts this problem will remain regardless oif the manager!
think of whatever excuses that you feel will soften the blow .arsenal never dont him, fabregas or nasri. obviously i know now that the club and the board dont want to win. they are in it to make money. very disgusted with the club and i feel that as a supporter its time to move on and realize that this club wont move forward.stop dreaming start winning, cause luck is not healthy. RVP good decision
Good luck to him- he is gonna be 29 this August, will be massively prone to injury after the load his body has been through last season plus euros, and is a chance for some other players to step up!Podolski & Giroud together will bag 30+ goals ad we may see Gervinho & Walcott step up to the added responsibility. In Arsene we trust, I believe we will rise to the challenge this season, wait & c.....
maybe - he could then send rooney to a health farm for a year to lose some weight
I wonder if Sir Alex makes a move for RVP now?
Let's get two things straight - Arsenal fans love to win a cup but not at all costs and RVP is not irreplaceable. Arsenal cannot spend money like City and Chelsea. ManU and Barcelona have huge debts. These clubs are like your friend who buys a house he cannot afford. We will live through the drought but our time will come. RVP is good but his space will soon be filled up.
City are looking to offload players, so Arsenal should be seeking a cash-plus-player deal IMO.£10m plus Džeko and/or Johnson, perhaps? Maybe Milner as cover for the full-back and wide-midfield spots?
he ia a ungreatful person, when he was injured nobody wanted to touch him, now he has scored 39 goals he think he is great, LET HIM GO
