Ramsdens Cup: Falkirk 3-0 Stirling Albion

Falkirk striker Lyle Taylor fired home a second-half double to help ease his side through to the second round of the Ramsdens Cup.

Taylor also supplied a neat pass for team-mate Kieran Duffie to open the scoring in the 34th minute from inside the penalty area and went close to adding his side's second with a 20-yard effort that flew wide just before half-time.

Falkirk did not have to wait long to increase their lead, though, as Taylor drilled a low shot into the bottom corner from the edge of the penalty area six minutes into the second half.

Stirling Albion were reeling and had barely recovered when the Falkirk forward slammed home a volley from 12 yards after the visitors had failed to clear a corner.
