AFC Telford United striker Chris Sharp will miss the start of the new Blue Square Bet Premier season with a groin injury.
Bucks boss Andy Sinton already had plans to add to his squad ahead of Saturday's opener at Barrow.
And the loss of 26-year-old Sharp increases his need to strengthen.
Sharp, who joined Telford from TNS last summer, picked up the injury in last week's 3-0 pre-season friendly win over his former club.
The muscle problem also forced him to sit out Friday night's 2-0 friendly defeat against neighbouring Wolves.
And, having already been ruled out for the trip Holker Street, he could also miss the Bucks' first two home games.
Telford have already made two frontline signings this summer, Jake Reid and Kieron St Aimie.
