Northampton Town have signed Liverpool teenager Henoc Mukendi on loan until January.
The 18-year-old, who was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo but has British citizenship, can operate as a central striker or on the left.
He played for the Cobblers in their 3-1 victory over a West Ham XI on Tuesday.
"I've worked with a lot of good young players and Henoc is definitely one with a lot of potential," boss Aidy Boothroyd told the club's website.
Mukendi's elder brother Vinny plays for Blue Square Bet Premier club Macclesfield Town.
