Veteran defender Stuart Whitehead will captain Worcester City in their final season at St George's Lane.
The 36-year-old ex-Bolton, Shrewsbury and Kidderminster centre-half left Telford for City in January.
"Stuart is an experienced player who has all the attributes you need to be captain and is the natural choice for me," said Worcester boss Carl Heeley.
"I had considered maybe giving one of the younger boys the chance to see if the experience enhanced them."
Heeley continued: "But, on reflection, I felt Stuart would be ideal for the role and he has agreed that he will be wearing the armband this season."
Worcester start this season with Saturday's trip to Blue Square Bet North newcomers Bradford Park Avenue.
