Still can't believe we sold Dawson and that AVB rated him below Galls, Kaboul etc - staggering piece of judgement
QPR = Cheaper version of Man city.
QPR are just a second-rate Chelsea. Mark Hughes will probably look to get Joe Cole and Makalele next. Mind you Dawson is undoubtably a good buy and Carvalho is one of the best defenders the EPL has ever had. Probably past it now though.
Talk about panic buying, lose their 1st match 5-0 and they suddenly realise their defence is wanting? Two solid buys if they get them playing together soon but not exactly good signals coming from QPR.

I must be a fool then !As for QPR flirting with bankruptcy - Its Air Malaysias money thats being spent so no drama
Villas Boas a bad manager??? Do me a favour. He had a rough time at Chelsea but anyone who writes this guy off is a fool - straight up

We have spent around 25 mil over the 2 years so far, that is not a lot.Hoilet, Zamora, Park, Onougha, Ferdinand, Diakite, Cisse and SWP are the only ones that we spent money on.Dawson is a quality player, so how he can be said to be part of a sactergun approach, I have no idea.
@172. As a follower of A Liga, i saw pretty much all of his games as a top flight manager... This guy sucks, trust me, and before anyone starts spouting off his Porto achievements please bare in mind that the real driving force behind that club is pinto da costa, he makes the key decisions and signs the players. AVB is a joke. A little rich kid playing champ manager forever in mourinhos shaddow.
How many more players are QPR going to sign. The 'scattergun' approach has been mentioned already and it concerns me that Mark Hughes doesn't really know what sort of team he wants to build. A lot of these players seem too old to have any long term future at the club. It is reassuring to see that Spurs supporters are disappointed Dawson is leaving; I thought he was too injury prone.
@170 he's only been around a year, judge him at what he does he does at Spurs. what happened at chelsea was ridiculous
The Mark Hughes "scatter-gun" approach to football management continues. Buy enough players and some will stick. You'd have thought owners would be wise to it by now. Quite why they keep throwing money at him beats me.Like others on here, surprised to see Dawson leaving. More than capable defender being shown the door so early in the season smacks of carelessness by AVB.
