Livingston 3-2 Dumbarton
Livingston needed extra time to see off Dumbarton and reach the third round of the Scottish Communities League Cup.
James Lister fired the visitors into a 36th-minute lead, but Iain Russell levelled two minutes later after himself earning a penalty.
Neither side could find the net again in normal time, but Robert Barr and Dylan Easton put Livi in the driving seat in extra time.
Mark Gilhaney's late reply led to a tense climax.
But it was Livingston who move through to the next round after overcoming their First Division rivals.
The unfancied Son edged ahead when Steven McGougall played in Lister, who smashed the ball into the top corner from 12 yards.
However, when Nicky Devlin fouled Iain Russell in the area, the former Dumbarton striker picking himself up to slot home the penalty.
Barr tucked in Marc McNulty's pass to put Livi ahead after 96 minutes and the lead was doubled when Dylan Easton thumped in number three six minutes later.
Dumbarton refused to lie down and Bryan Prunty teed up Gilhaney to pull one back with 10 minutes remaining.
