Plymouth boss Carl Fletcher praises Jake Cole contribution
Plymouth Argyle manager Carl Fletcher has praised the contribution of goalkeeper Jake Cole after the 0-0 draw at Dagenham & Redbridge.
Cole made a number of saves as Argyle got their first point of the season.
The 26-year-old has started the season ahead of new signing Rene Gilmartin, who missed Tuesday's match at Victoria Road with a knee problem.
"He did really great, the save he made in the first half was a great save," Fletcher told BBC Radio Devon.
"It's a whole squad game and every person on that pitch is vital and that includes the man at the back.
"I'm really pleased for him as he's worked hard in pre-season," Fletcher added.
The Argyle boss described their performance as "an off night" but was happy to have got a point on their travels.
"We got the clean sheet and got a point away from home.
"It's funny, we played 10 times better on Saturday and didn't get anything from the game, tonight we were a lot worse and got a point, so we'll learn from it."
