Partick Thistle 3-0 Dumbarton

Partick Thistle moved to the top of the First Division after a comfortable victory over Dumbarton.

Goals from Kris Doolan, Chris Erskine and Stuart Bannigan leave Dumbarton without a point from their opening three fixtures.

Doolan headed the home side into a 16th minute lead from Stuart Bannigan's left-wing cross.

James Lister came close to levelling for the visitors in the 32nd minute, but his close range header was tipped round the post by goalkeeper Scott Fox.

Erskine made it 2-0 in the 63rd minute, turning Paul Paton's centre past Stephen Grindlay in the Dumbarton goal.

The Thistle midfielder then turned provider for the third, crossing from the left for Bannigan to tap home from six yards out.
