Why everyone is criticising Rooney is beyond me, he's got pretty much a goal every other game from the age of 18, and he mainly plays in attacking midfield now, meaning he's probably getting a good amount of assists. In my opinion, the only people who criticise him are bitter England fans who don't see him perform in weak sides, and jealous rivals who see him beat them consistently.
Andy Carroll is clearly the worst transfer day signing of all time! £35M?? and now on a loan deal to West Ham. At least Robinho scored now and again and was sold on successfully.
Worst of all: Jimmy Bullard - Fulham to Hull City £5m. Nuff said.
Robbie Keane to Tottenham was one of my favourites by far! http://reid-review.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/tottenham-hotspur-futures-bright.html
Worst:Aqualani to LiverpoolKeane to LiverpoolHenderson to LiverpoolDowning to LiverpoolCarroll to Liverpool
Arteta is worth a mention amongst the best signings. At the time it was described as a panic buy, but he was outstanding for us last season.Arshavin is an interesting one, his form has dropped off since then, but in his first 6 months his form kept us in the Champions League. You could almost make a good case for him being in both lists.
Please don't forget Michael Owen in the Worst Signings list. Newcastle fans paid for his time on the golf course. Money well wasted-all16.000000 pounds.
Would be happy having Tevez back seeing we are still paying a lot of money to Sheffield United whingers. Mascherano was not missed and i would not want him back for certain.Tevez will always make a name for himself wherever he plays, a legend in my eyes.
Tevez and Macsherano, West ham wouldn't mind having them back.
Correction to my comment #159Not premier league goals, goals for Man Utd per season.
As for those bashing Rooney, he did sign as a teenager for £28m, but can you think of many players who are the around the same age as him having a goal scoring record of about 1 goal every other game since 2004 with his lowest Premier League return in goals being 16 in 2011. There is only 3 players I can think of with the same or better goalscoring records are Messi, Ronaldo and Falcao.
Mark Hughes has to be the worst manager in the premiership. he always has money to spend but is never successful, id like to know how much and how many players he has brought to qpr, couldnt handle it at man city, i think anyone could have done a better job, even kamara, he is useless. not a qpr fan btw or man city
Carroll should go back to WWE. The Prem is about football, not shoulder charge ball
Andy Carroll gets some stick but it was Liverpool as a club that played to his strengths. Look what happened when Steven Gerrard crossed the play from deep to him in the Euros, like Joey Barton had done for Newcastle's first season back in the PL.http://www.WorldFootballWeekly.wordpress.com
@154 good result today...
@153 And you got rid of him.
@150 the Spanish waiter you're referring to won a European Cup, reached another final and won an FA Cup... Think you would've taken that on the blue side...
why are people saying torres should be on the list?he's better know and he wasn't signed on deadline day!!!and why is everyone saying bebatovs rubbish he's better that rooney and hes had more playing time.all that rooney does is score goals but i've never seen him won the golden boot before.rooney is rubbish!!!!
The best of Man U's transfers: Schmeichel, Roy Keane, Cantona, Van Nistelrooy, Stam, Yorke, Cole, Van der Saar, Rooney, Solskjaer, Sheringham and not least the best of them all Ronaldo.The worst: Taibi, Bosnich, Cruyff, Porbosky, Djemba Djemba, Kleberson, Saha, Young, Bojan Djorjic, Blomqvist, Forlan, Henning Berg.
