Andre Gray will have 'massive impact' says Luton coach
Luton coach Carl Emberson has backed striker Andre Gray to have a "massive impact" for the club this season.
Gray, 21, scored at Wembley in their play-off final defeat by York in May, but has had to settle for cameos from the bench in their last two games.
"Andre Gray is a very hungry player, he's desperate to do well," Emberson told BBC Three Counties Radio.
"He wants to stay and do extra [in training] every day and wants to be a big part of this team."
Gray was signed five months ago by former Luton boss Gary Brabin after scoring 23 goals for Hinckley United in all competitions, including one in an FA Cup tie against the Hatters.
However competition for places in attack at Kenilworth Road has increased over the summer, following the arrival of Jon Shaw and Scott Rendell from Gateshead and Wycombe respectively.
"Andre has got plenty of time throughout the season - in this league, you need to have people that can be on the bench than can affect a game when you need them," said Emberson.
"He definitely won't lose his sharpness through the training we're putting on and the games that will come thick and fast."
