Cardiff City: Kim Bo-Kyung set for debut against Wolves
Malky Mackay has confirmed new signing Kim Bo-Kyung will make his Cardiff City debut against Wolves.
The South Korean international, who has signed a three-year contract with the Bluebirds, arrived in Wales this week.
The 22-year-old is expected to make his Cardiff bow against Wolves at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday.
"He will be involved," said Mackay, who signed midfielder Bo-Kyung from Japanese side Cerezo Osaka for a fee belived to be around £2m.
He was part of the South Korea squad to become only the second Asian nation to win an Olympic men's football medal.
South Korea beat Japan 2-0 in a feisty bronze-medal match in Cardiff.
Mackay admits he is glad to finally end the 'saga' of signing Bo-Kyung.
"I am delighted to finally get him here, it has been quite a long and drawn out saga, with Korea, Japan and the Olympics mixed in all that," said Mackay.
"It has been going on for quite a while because I watched him against Spain before the Euros and it has gone on from there.
"He had to go back to Korea to be with the Olympic team and they got a bronze medal and went right to the end of the tournament.
"We had administration and paperwork to do in Korea and I had to go and speak to the work permit people to get him that aswell.
"It has been long and drawn out but he is here and I am desperately hoping we can get him involved on Sunday."
Mackay will be hoping his new signing will be a boost to his side after their 4-2 away defeat to Bristol City last weekend.
