Preston's Graham Westley looking to offload three
Preston manager Graham Westley says he must create space in his squad if he is to sign any more players before the transfer deadline closes on Friday.
Iain Hume, Craig Morgan and Keammar Daley are all available for transfer and Westley says any incoming business depends on their departures.
He told BBC Radio Lancashire: "There's nothing happening there yet. If work happens there, it frees up some money.
"While those boys are occupying space in our budget, it's difficult for us."
Westley continued: "We've got work that we want to do and we've got things that we're trying to do. We can only do things at the right price and we do need some room to be created as well.
"It's difficult to make things happen but we're doing our best."
League One Preston produced one of the surprises of the Capital One Cup second round on Tuesday, defeating Championship side Crystal Palace 4-1 at Deepdale.
New signing Akpo Sodje was again amongst the scorers, netting his second goal in two games.
"We know Akpo can produce telling displays," added Westley. "He's been positive in the penalty area in the games that he's played for us and he's a difficult boy to handle."
