Sheffield United challenge excites Dave Kitson
Sheffield United striker Dave Kitson is hoping to help the League One club's promotion push.
He told BBC Radio Sheffield: "I'm looking forward to getting started.
"It's a fantastic club with a great fanbase and it can be a very intimidating place to play. It deserves to be in the Championship at least."
He added: "I turned down clubs in a higher division because I think this club can be successful and I want to have that winning feeling again.
"There's nothing better than being somewhere where you are contributing to wining matches every week."
The Blades, who lost out to Huddersfield in last season's play-off final, have made a solid start to the season with two wins and two draws from their opening four league matches.
From a personal point of view, the former Reading and Stoke man is happy to have signed a deal that allows him and the club to keep their options open.
"It works well for us both because the club might want to move players on in January or they might decide to go for it," he continued.
"I might get to the point in January where I might want to go and play abroad or something like that."
