Glasgow City beat Celtic to take 12-point lead
Two goals from Emma Mitchell gave Glasgow City a victory over closest rivals Celtic that stretches the reigning champions' lead in the Scottish Women's Premier League.
The 2-0 win at Barrowfield puts City 12 points clear with six games remaining.
It took the visitors until the 41st-minute to make the breakthrough thanks to a 25-yard drive from Mitchell.
The defender switched feet to this time send in a right-foot drive to stretch Glasgow's lead after the break.
City head coach Eddie Wolecki Black said: "This was far from a great performance from us, but we controlled the match and dug out the result we required.
"Emma Mitchell's goals were really top drawer and she is in great scoring form right now."
