Hull scored four first-half goals against Championship rivals Millwall en route to recording their third successive home victory.
Robert Koren opened the scoring for the Tigers when he smashed in a shot from 25 yards, before Jay Simpson made it 2-0 from Stephen Quinn's cross.
Abdoulaye Faye headed in the third and Sone Aluko tucked in another five minutes before half-time.
Darius Henderson headed in a consolation goal after the break.
Victory for Hull moves them up to fourth spot, while Millwall are 16th with six points from five matches.
Lions keeper Maik Taylor did well to keep the Tigers goal tally at four.
The veteran shotstopper blocked Ahmed Elmohamady's fierce drive and made a great stop to deny Koren.
Taylor then denied Quinn after the break, keeping out a stinging shot and preventing the follow-up from creeping in.
The ex-Blues keeper also tipped over an effort from Elmohamady.
