Aldershot's winless run was extended to five games after a goalless draw with Morecambe.
The hosts dominated early on and could have taken the lead as Craig Reid shot wide when clear.
Aaron Morris fired narrowly over for the Shots, before Adam Mekki's low drive was blocked by Morecambe keeper Barry Roche.
Jamie Young made a fine late double-save from Morecambe's Andrew Fleming and Izak Reid to prevent defeat.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth told BBC Surrey:
"We lacked quality in the final third and when we did open them up, we just lacked little bit of finesse to get the opportunity.
"When we did get chances, we came up against a brick wall and it made it difficult for us, but we came away with a clean sheet.
"Jamie Young's saves were magnificent today and the organisation and commitment of each player to get into position was important."
Morecambe manager Jim Bentley told BBC Radio Lancashire:
"I'm pleased because we let ourselves down last week [against Fleetwood].
"I wanted a reaction, they've gone out today and they've come out fighting from the first minute against a good Aldershot side.
"To get a clean sheet and gain a point - I've got to be pretty pleased with that.
"On another day we could have sneaked it. It wasn't to be, but I'm very pleased."
