Truro City administrator Kate Breese has said time is running out for the struggling club to find a buyer.
Breese confirmed that the players had been told that unless money came in, they would not be paid, but revealed there had been enquiries over the side.
"We don't have any funding. We're not going to be able to continue like this," Breese told BBC Radio Cornwall.
"We're appealing to anybody that may have any interest to come forward now, time is of the essence," she added.
"It's a big ask to be expected to turn out for work and not be paid for it.
"But without their [the players'] support and assistance, we don't have anything to take forward.
"We're appealing to them to stick with us for the time being."
Truro City were thrashed 8-0 by Maidenhead in the Blue Square Bet South on Saturday at York Road.
