Josh Falkingham set up both goals as Dunfermline overcame Dumbarton.
The Sons' Steven McDougall tested Paul Gallacher midway through the first half with a powerful 25-yard drive that was well held.
But it was the visitors who went in front after 41 minutes, Andy Kirk sweeping home Falkingham's inviting centre.
And the lead was doubled seven mintues into the second half when Stephen Jordan latched on to Falkingham and finished from six yards.
