The Republic of Ireland have arranged friendlies with Greece and Poland in November and February.

Giovanni Trapattoni's Irish side will face the Greeks at the Aviva Stadium on 14 November before taking on the Poles at the Dublin venue on 6 February.

"These matches provide me with a very important opportunity to work with the squad and test ourselves against strong European opposition," said Trapattoni.

The Irish beat Kazakhstan in their opening World Cup qualifier last week.
