Ciaran Doherty fires the only goal of the game as Glenavon beat Lisburn Distillery 1-0 at New Grosvenor.

Glenavon made it back-to-back Premiership wins as they edged out struggling Lisburn Distillery.

Ciaran Doherty slid in Glenavon's winner in the 21st minute as the visitors dominated the first half.

Whites keeper Lee Windrum made great saves to deny Gary Hamilton and Conor Hagan with Guy Bates also missing two Glenavon chances.

Distillery improved after the break with Andy Hunter hitting the woodwork and Andy Coleman denying Gary Liggett.

Jordan Hughes also missed a Whites chance with Glenavon's only decent second-half chance wasted by player-manager Hamilton.

However, Hamilton will surely have been well pleased by his team's latest win but the problems continue for Whites boss Tim McCann after his side's sixth defeat in their opening seven games.
