Stockport County extended their winless streak to eight games after being held by Braintree Town.
Andy Halls squandered the best chance of the game for the Hatters when heading wide from close range.
Brad Quinton produced the home side's closest effort in the first half but he fired wide from the edge of the area.
Braintree's Dan Holman came closest to a goal in the second period but his spectacular stoppage-time effort from 25-yards was off target.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Braintree Town manager Alan Devonshire told BBC Essex:
"We'll take it. I think there was only one team that deserved to win, which was us.
"We've had quite a lot of shots on target, it's one of those days where it didn't drop for us around the box.
"We're disappointed we didn't get three points, but I was pleased with the way we played, it's the first clean sheet for a while.
"On another day, we would have won by two or three, but it's an improvement."
