Rangers: David Templeton ruled out for up to five weeks

Rangers winger David Templeton will be sidelined for up to five weeks with ankle ligament damage.
The former Hearts player was stretchered off with a suspected broken ankle during last weekend's goalless draw at Annan.
Rangers boss Ally McCoist said Templeton had suffered major swelling and damage to the ligaments.
Templeton, 23, signed a four-year deal with the Ibrox club at the end of August.
McCoist said it was a blow for the Third Division outfit to lose Templeton.
"David has obviously got a very sore one," said McCoist. "The good news is that it's not broken.
"He has been for an X-ray but there is massive swelling and there looks to be a good bit of damage to the ligaments unfortunately.
"We are waiting on the swelling going down and then David will get a scan in the next few days."
Templeton began his career at Stenhousemuir before spending five-and-a-half years at Tyncecastle.
Hearts defended the sale of Templeton to Rangers, stating that the player was desperate to leave.
"In January he could sign a pre-contract and walk for free in summer," the Edinburgh club said.
The winger scored on his final appearance for Hearts, the 1-1 draw against Liverpool in Anfield.
Meanwhile, McCoist said his side's indifferent away form was not "a disaster" despite failing to register a league victory on the road.
Rangers boast a 100% home record - but sit fourth in the table - and McCoist said he was under no illusions as to the expectations of the fans.
"We all know the pressures on getting results at this football club," he added.
"It doesn't matter which league you're in, you're expected to win games.
"The flip side of the coin is that we've had three draws away from home, which isn't a disaster.
"I do accept we should be playing better with the ball away from home and, hopefully, turning those draws into victories.
"I'm certain that the results away from home will come but it's not going to be an overnight fix."

Are you a girl ?
I loved Coops, even in opposition, but I'd be damned if any of my kids were named after a football player or any other "icon".
I mean, Nelson Mandela McGonagall would have the wee ripped out of him for eternity ?!
On the subject of boring....."jog on".
Keep 'em coming, you might even convince yourself.
See what "we" did there ?
The same man that explained that liquidation ended the club's history if the club couldn't be saved by making an agreement with creditors?
Don't feel sorry for me. All is great over here.
I'm worried for you lot with the dementia, paranoia and anger on display every week.
Time a lot of people manned up a bit.
Would they have sold as many if circumstances were not the same? No.
How many expensive European ties does The Rangers have? Berwick doesn't count.
I thought it was 35,000 ST, when was the last time they sold that many?
A cheap season ticket and an artificial act of defiance is all we are seeing. Fans already fed up.
I don't have an obsession. I commented on Templeton before Rangers fans brought Celtic into the discussion.
Rangers fans talk more of Celtic and plotting the downfall of every other club, but mention rangers and you are obsessed.
The obsession card is the new racist card. Throw it in people's faces when it suits.
Apart from the allegations about Rangers (which came from an ex-Rangers Director not anywhere else and were substantiated by Panorama), what other SPL clubs operated a system of dual contracts through EBT's?
No one else is aware of any other club who operated dual contracts through EBT's
If the previous owner had a stunning wife, could you claim the conquest in the back seat as you bought the history?
You have proof of history written down. You can't claim to have done the services.
Did the car suffer with liquidation?
Do you understand the difference between a car sale and a liquidation of a company?
Rangers history will be stored for all to see. New start now.
Stop blaiming the press, the police, fellow supporters. No other club behaves like Rangers fans.
The usage of EBTs has been discussed to death. There is clear distinctions on how, when and why they were used.
If the allegations against Rangers are proven, action has to be taken. Can only change history though.
Rangers fans are obsessed about one crime. Although very serious and by one man, why keep glorifying such an ordeal to get one up? Shocking, sickening behavior. It was also 40 years ago. Move on.
Not saying Celtic fans haven't been involved in isolated incidents . Sadly with so many people you always get the odd idiot.
Trouble follows Rangers but it is always someone else's fault isn't it?
Playing against pub teams every week you are 1)going to lower your standards 2)adopt a style of play to suit division 3.
Neither are helpful at international level.
At almost 24 he is not progressed enough to be considered that good anyways. Just another of the many Scottish players that do show promise but then get stuck at that level.
Dropping to div3 killed any hope of developing.
Can't understand why some Rangers fans are so defensive. If they had spent as much energy questioning the finances of the previous two owners then they would not have been in this position. A revelation to find out in the summer that they had no mates in Scottish football
When was the last time Rangers outsold Celtic season tickets before this year?
Celtic aren't outclassed by Rangers on any front.
Ask the English, Spanish, Portuguese etc which fans they enjoy visiting and which ones cause trouble.
Read RM to see how bitter the fans are who do nothing but fight with each other too.
Class? No class whatsoever.
Know how to support a team? Is that the ones who hailed all the players and staff who moved to the new club as heros and weeks later lambast and want them and Ally out?
You are making numbers up with Celtic's crowds. Crowds were 25,000 in a bid to force the board out.
Rangers went as low as 2000 when they were not winning.
Stop the lies and nonsense to justify your team. Laughable.
Or are you getting mixed up with the 6000 fans that Rangers were getting in the early 80's before they started buying in players they couldn't afford?
You'll stoop to any low with your archived ID's
DO ONE
All possessions were bought and only the players who used employment law to transfer over came over.
They were free to leave.
Green did say exactly that when he thought his CVA offer was going to be accepted.
The video is on youtube.
Only after it fell through he changed his tune. Now he says what the fans want to hear
Even in the desperate need of the club's future some games didn't sell out.
Draw a lower league team in the cup and both old firm teams struggled to to pull 15,000 as nobody wanted to see pub teams.
Now have to pretend it is great and an achievement to win div 3?
