Everton 2-2 Newcastle: Officials missed two goals - David Moyes

Everton manager David Moyes insisted two controversial decisions denied his side victory against Newcastle United at Goodison Park.
In a thrilling 2-2 draw, Everton substitute Victor Anichebe saw play waved on by referee Mike Jones despite his header crossing the line - and Moyes also complained an earlier strike from Marouane Fellaini was wrongly ruled out for offside.
Newcastle counterpart Alan Pardew agreed and Moyes said: "There are two goals missed and we can't get them back. I had a word with the officials but I was not in there ranting and raving.
"I said 'you have missed two goals' but what can I do about it? We played very well and should have won the game deservedly but didn't."
Substitute Demba Ba scored twice for Newcastle, including a last-minute equaliser, after Leighton Baines and Anichebe had struck for Everton.
Everton's complaints, at least in terms of Anichebe's 'goal', could soon be a thing of the past with Premier League committed to introducing goal-line technology "as soon as practically possible", with the start of the 2013-14 season mentioned as a possible start date.
Two different systems, Hawk-Eye and GoalRef, having fulfilled Fifa's criteria, including a requirement that a decision had to be relayed to the referee in less than a second.
Fifa says it is "on course" to use the systems for the first time at the FIFA Club World Club in Japan on December. The tournament will feature Champions League winners Chelsea.
Everton boss David Moyes believes that the officials should have done a better job even without technology.
"The tools will come in eventually to help officials but I think the job is to look along the line and hopefully get it right when the ball has crossed the line," Moyes added.
"Even from where I was I thought Marouane Fellaini's goal was a goal so I was surprised when it was given offside.
"We should have been out of sight by half-time and when it was still 1-0 Alan Pardew was probably delighted."
Pardew admitted: "The header from Anichebe was definitely a goal. My technical team have told me it was over the line. I have been saying for as long as anybody technology must come in and it has cost Everton a crucial goal here."
Everton striker Nikica Jelavic limped off before half-time as he struggled with a knee injury following a collision with a post when scoring a disallowed goal in the opening moments.
He left Goodison Park on crutches and Moyes said: "It looked as if he banged the side of his knee against the post. I don't know if it's too bad."

...It is broke though. 2 legitimate goals were disallowed last night. We know how much points (and goals) matter, look how close the title race was between the Manchester sides last season.
GLT in.
No wonder the game and its 'officials' are such a laughing stock! Nothing will happen until Hawkeye or Goalref pay all the necessary 'bungs' to FIFA.
Fake watch anyone?
Blame FIFA for their mistakes as FIFA won't allow video technology. Therefore, there will be mistakes which could potentially be crucial for the clubs.
By still not allowing it FIFA are effectively mocking everyone involved, as it could be introduced very easily and everyone would be happy with correct results.
I think you were watching a different game.
Everton outclassed Newcastle for the whole game, were 'robbed' by two poor decisions. David Moyes was very very good about it, unlike the majority of premiership managers who would have had a real rant.
I think you need to go and watch the game again. :)
On the match itself it was thrilling end to end stuff. Everton will obviously be disappointed about the 'goal' that was not given but they did miss a few chances as well.
As regards technology and these issues , the game of football is played with such huge sums of money involved that no obvious mistakes can be allowed to happen . 1point at seasons send could make the difference between premier league and championship £ 100m .
Why would anyone complain when a decision went your way?! What a ridiculous thing to say. Let's hear you saying your perfectly happy when your team has two goals disallowed costing you two points more like. Moyes has more credibility in his little finger than you do!
I think you'll find Moyes has actually taken it very well and is hardly moaning the way a certain fellow scot would be
Everyone should be very proud of the club. Very decent, well organised and sincere. Not sure this would have happened in this way in many other cities than Liverpool.
The blue side of the city have restored my faith in human nature
Both managers showed class at the end. Moyes for not screaming at the ref and Pardew for not using the classic Wenger line "I didn't see it" and admitting we should have had 1 more.
Does the weekend village cricket team have Hawkeye, Hotspot, etc. NO.
Does you local tennis court have a net call system and Hawkeye. NO.
Have these lead to improvemnet. YES.
The point is that, the more 'elite' athletes are playing for a lot more money (it's all business) for their clubs/teams and therefore need more accurate decisions.
