Alloa comfortably beat 10-man Stranraer to move up to fourth in the league.
Kevin Cawley gave the home side the lead in the 21st minute, collecting Graeme Holmes' cross on the left-side of the penalty area and firing across keeper David Mitchell into the net.
Mitchell was then dismissed for bringing down Stephen Simmons in the area as the midfielder attempted to add a second.
Replacement goalkeeper Russell Cadwell failed to save the resulting spot-kick, which was dispatched into his bottom left corner by Martin Grehan just before the break.
Holmes rounded off the scoring in the 90th minute with a low effort from the edge of the area.
