Scott Rendell scored twice as Luton eased to victory over Southport.
The home side took a fourth-minute lead through Stuart Fleetwood, who found the top corner with a curling shot from the edge of the area.
Andrew Parry levelled for the Sandgrounders with a low strike past Hatters keeper Mark Tyler.
Rendell restored Luton's lead from JJ O'Donnell's cross before making it 3-1 from the penalty spot after Parry brought down Fleetwood in the area.
