Three first-half goals led to Montrose's second win of the season as they brushed aside East Stirlingshire at Links Park.
Leighton McIntosh met David Gray's right-wing cross at the edge of the six-yard box to slot the hosts into the lead before Gray doubled the advantage from the penalty spot .
Shire defender Steve Jackson was penalised for handball in the box and midfielder Gray made no mistake from the spot, planting the ball into the bottom right-hand corner.
Terry Masson fired in Gary Wood's pass from 12 yards to make it three just after the half hour mark.
East Stirling defender Craig Hume drilled into the bottom left-hand corner to pull one back late on as John Coughlin saw his side end their two-game winning run.
