ChrisOk, we get it, he's not Xavi, Vidic, or Lampard. Ludicrous analogy. But I can't take you seriously if you think he is just pure rubbish. I have seen him come on and seriously influence matches in the past by getting forward, having a few decent shots on target and positively altering the dynamics of the game, he gives the manager a good alternative. Your argument against him is quite absurd.

226.Haventaclue52 He's a WUM mate. You could spend the whole day replying, but you won't get any sense out of them. It just gives them attention... Good attention or bad attention, doesn't matter to them. Just as long as they are being noticed. Naughty step is the only way forward. Once they stop getting replies, there's no point in writing silly comments as no one is biting/ responding..
Are Xavi and Vidic available then?I think you're being very harsh calling JJS a donkey, he's certainly not the finished deal yet and if there was any talk of him starting I would probably be agreeing with you. But personally I am all for the England managers calling younger players into the squad for the experience as it gets them used to whats going on and gives the manager a closer look.
224.Haventaclue52Seriously, i have just been looking at Scotland's midfield and he wouldn't get into their squad! Mate, he isnt good enough, end of! Having a look at him? Thats what Hodgson's Saturdays are for! I'm not clairvoyant, no, but i can tell a donkey a mile off. And for your information.. Xavi is comfortable in possesion, Vidic is good in the air, Lampard makes good runs into the box.
Chris - So you are clairvoyant now? JJS will never win games for England and you know this at the age of 20 how? because you consider him to be average - today?JJS has potential, he's comfortable in possession, good in the air and makes great runs into the box - He is also unavailable for the U21 game so why not have him in the SQUAD to take a look, its not like RH is suggesting he will start.
In regards to 205 comments SWP is taking it a bit far ! but agree haven't seen shelvey have a good game this season but we all know the team isn't picked on form alone otherwise strikers who have scored goals this season would of been picked instead of those who haven't !
Don't underestimate the poorer teams in National Football. San Marino have a national squad for a reason and have proven to be a reasonable squad at times. The thing with this is that due to being a small nation san marino do tend to preform quite well in whatever circumstances. San marino are a good squad and to me it should be a reasonably tight game
@213 Haventaclue52 What? The England squad isn't about blooding kids. Its about picking the best available players that day for the game. How often have Lampard or Gerrard had really good games for England? Not many...but they turn it on week in week out in the prem. International football is hard, how can you expect JJS to win you games? Now or in 5-10 years. Not happening, ever.
