Tom Phipp scored the winner on the stroke of half-time as struggling Ebbsfleet United won at Tamworth.
The midfielder hit the bar after only two minutes but made no mistake with a volley in first-half stoppage time.
Ashley Carew and Neil Barrett went close to extending Ebbsfleet's lead, while Adam Cunnington had a late chance for the hosts but fired over.
Ebbsfleet remain in the relegation zone but are now only three points adrift of safety, while Tamworth slip to ninth.
VIEWS FROM THE DRESSING ROOM
Ebbsfleet manager Liam Daish told BBC Radio Kent:
"We were excellent. It was a very workman-like performance against a side who have done well this year.
"The players defended really well, we were dangerous going forward, we defended when we had to, got a clean sheet and backed up what we did last week, which proved that wasn't a one-off.
"I'm still looking for some more confidence going forward but that is a good win for us."
