Dave Edwards urges Wolves to show greater consistency

Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards

Wolves midfielder Dave Edwards believes the side are capable of winning the Championship if they find consistency.

The Molineux club have lost two of their last four league matches but are still fifth in the table, just three points off top spot.

"It's such a tough league, everyone beats everyone," Wales international Edwards told BBC WM.

"It's whoever is the most consistent that will win the league and hopefully we can be that team."

Wolves host Bolton Wanderers in the Championship on Tuesday night, having succumbed to defeat by Crystal Palace after squandering a one-goal lead in their last home game.

"It was a game when we were in control and perhaps didn't finish it off," said Edwards.

"We want to make Molineux a fortress this year, and it will be games like Bolton that will make that happen.

"Bolton will be strong and will all be out trying to impress potential managers.

"They're such a strong team and I can't believe they haven't started better."
