The mods, obviously cardiff fans, have removed my post wherein I pointed out the track record of some of their supportrers.Well done mods, but it doesn't change the message one iota.
rake1596 31. Barclays are the sponsors of the English Premier League, but I think you missed my point anyway so it's fine.
Andy_g9 #24 - its actually the Barclays Premier League. I was simply saying the LOW would be greatly enhanced with Cardiff and Swansea joining and that would be good for Welsh football not Cardiff being promoted to what is in effect the 'English' league. Remember if either go into Europe they will be representing England not Wales, great Welsh pride eh.
Oh,did I touch a nerve there?

Not keen on Cardiff coming up. We Swans have our hands full without the pressure of a local derby; promotion would reward the Asian speculators in charge at Cardiff, and this 'good for Welsh football' thing is a cheap soundbite. If Welsh players are good enough it doesn't matter if they play outside Wales, as most do.Funny how nobody gave two hoots about us when we were in the lower leagues.
Where has all this English national pride stuff come from regarding the Premier league. All the top clubs are foreign owned and run, and full of foreign players anyway..
The little Englanders saying they should be in their league are somewhat embarrassing as they pull down the national average IQ score for England. There is no English League, it was always a British League which is why the Welsh clubs didn't apply to join... they were invited to join, just like all English clubs present there.
Rake No.22 there is no such thing as the English league, it's the British football league and always has been. The PL is the ENGLISH PL but 1 of the stipulations when it was set up was that it was to be the top of the British football pyramid. The welsh clubs decided to join the British football league and are still a part of Britain as far as I'm aware so I see no reason to join the welsh league.
Harry, number 19. A British side would be out of the question for football. I know we have GB sides in other sports but that's a cop out. If you look at the whole British Isles geographically, England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland are all COUNTRIES! There is no such country as Britain or the United Kingdom! GB and UK are unions of separate countries.
Cardiff and Swansea (+ the other 3 Welsh clubs) playing in the Welsh league would be good for Welsh football as a whole and would no doubt enhance the credibility of the LOW. Im not an English Chav or little Englander but surely the Welsh clubs should go back to their own league, the world has changed since they joined the English league least of all the introduction of the Welsh assembly..??..
