Ryan Donaldson scored a second half goal to earn Gateshead a point at Wrexham in the Blue Square Bet Premier.
Nick Rushton had scored his first goal of the season to give Wrexham a first half lead after latching on to Danny Wright's through ball.
Wrexham were the better side in the second half but the visitors equalised on 63 minutes.
Donaldson scored with a stunning 30-yard strike which left keeper Andy Coughlin with no chance.

Wrexham player-manager Andy Morrell told BBC Radio Wales:
"I didn't think we were under any real trouble. They've popped up with one of the best goals I've seen at the Racecourse for a long time. Apart from that I didn't think Andy [Coughlin] really had much to do.
"I thought, especially first half, we were really bright and created a fair few chances but to be fair to them [Gateshead] they threw their bodies on the line and blocked a lot.
"A point gets us rolling again but there's so far to go. Hopefully we'll go on an unbeaten run now."
