Nicky Clark was twice on target as unbeaten Second Division leaders Queen of the South crushed third-top Forfar Athletic at Station Park.
Clark headed in the opener after only five minutes and they doubled their advantage after 21 minutes as the home side were reduced to 10 men.
Forfar's Mick Dunlop was sent off for a foul on Derek Lyle and Ryan McGuffie rifled home the spot-kick.
The home side pulled one back in the 25th minute, Gavin Swankie netting from 12 yards.
But the Doonhamers restored their two-goal cushion only two minutes later through Mark Durnan's right-foot shot.
Clark struck his second in the 49th minute and David Hopkirk finished Queens' scoring spree in the 81st minute.
As Forfar tumbled to their fourth defeat in five matches, the Dumfries side stretched their lead over Alloa Athletic to nine points.
