Plymouth Argyle midfielder Joe Lennox says he is working hard to get a new deal at Home Park.
The 21-year-old, who scored his first ever goal in the is out of contract at the end of the month.
Lennox, who has started five league games for Argyle this season, told BBC Radio Devon: "It's always in my mind.
"But I just keep training my best and playing the games as hard as I can to earn another contract."
Lennox initially and signed a six-month deal in the summer.
Plymouth boss Carl Fletcher is hopeful he can come to an agreement with the former Bristol City youngster, who has played three times for non-league Bath City.
"I want to keep Joe here," Fletcher said. "We've just got to wait and it's got to be finalised financially."
